A little about me!
Moving into her third decade in education, Jodi Rath decided to begin a life of crime in her Cast Iron Skillet Mystery Series. Her passion for mysteries and education led her to combine the two to create her business, MYS ED LLC. She splits her time between working as an adjunct for Ohio teachers and creating mischief in her fictional writing. She resides in a small, cozy village in Ohio with her five cats.
FAQs
What made you want to be a writer?

Full-time writing is something I've fantasized about since I was a five-year-old kid. No joke! I used to play "magazine" with my dolls and stuffed animals. I know--super creative name--but hey, I was only five! So, forty years later, I have a cozy mystery series, and write for educational affiliations, publishers, and blogs.

Do you ever get writer's block?

Um, you may not believe me--but that hasn't happened to me YET! I'm currently knocking on wood! I can't seem to make the voices stop in my head. I dream stories---I see them everywhere. I know I KNOW---I risk being taken off to the looney bin for the voices in my head---so SHHHHHH!
Would you introduce me to your editor?

I'm new to all of this writing stuff. Can you offer any marketing tips?

Marketing is difficult. My best advice is first to figure why you are writing. Are you doing it to pay the bills or for fun as a hobby? There are many reasons people want to write. Write down what you wish to accomplish with writing. Next, create long term and short term goals to help you get there. Those goals will help determine the path you need to take for marketing your work. I do wish you the best of luck on your writing journey!
